Parsons School of Design graduate Catherine Holstein founded Khaite in 2015 following a major endorsement from legendary Barneys New York buyer, Julie Gilhart, who picked up her junior thesis collection; she later went on design direct and consult for big-name brands like Maiyet, Vera Wang, and GAP.
