Sex therapist Stephen Snyder, M.D., is interested in the feelings behind sex, the feelings we get in thick of it, and the ones that sometimes keep us from connection and intimacy. Snyder is an associate clinical professor of psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine and has been in private practice in Manhattan for two decades. He’s come to believe that passion is inherently selfish, that sex should make you feel a little dumb, and that everyone thinks everyone else is having more (and better) sex than they are. Above all, he reminds us that we’re normal.
