A Look at the Alfresco Dinner Party Gwyneth Hosted with Loro PianaCreated with Loro Piana
The sun broke through the clouds for a brief moment on a misty Montecito evening earlier this month, just as guests began to arrive at Gwyneth’s home. They were there for an alfresco dinner party to celebrate Loro Piana’s Resort 2024 Collection—a sophisticated warm-weather wardrobe made from the kind of superlative materials (exquisite linens, airy silks) we’ve come to expect from the Italian heritage brand.
Cocktail hour unfolded on the lemon-tree-lined lawn, where a jazz band played and trays of basil margaritas and rhubarb white negronis were passed around. It was an intimate group: Gwyneth (wearing a chic Loro Piana jacket and trousers) and her family. And friends like Brigette Romanek, Oprah Winfrey (in Loro Piana), Gayle King, Nicole Avant and Ted Sarandos, Rob and Sheryl Lowe (she in Loro Piana), and Whitney Wolf Herd (in Loro Piana).
Dinner was, befittingly, Italian-inspired fare: It started with golden-crispy carciofi alla giudia and ended with basil semi-freddo, each course served atop blue-painted porcelain plates from Loro Piana’s l’Art de la Table Collection. Somewhere between the burrata and the striped bass, Gwyneth got up to toast goop’s first partnership with Loro Piana. “There is such alignment between our brands, which are committed to finding beauty everywhere,” she said from the head of the table. “Coming together here in one of the most beautiful places, Montecito, felt like the perfect celebration.”
