It wouldn’t be crazy to compare a single day on the Fashion Week calendar to a marathon. Between the string of shows, presentations, dinners, and parties—all of which are comically, inevitably, spread across the city—the stamina required is no joke. As an editor, the goal is to look the part without sacrificing comfort (or, in the event of gridlocked traffic, your ability to hop out of your black car and hoof it the remaining few blocks to the venue). In preparation, we’ve put together four looks, each one completed by a sculptural piece from Tiffany’s Elsa Peretti collection, that will help us cross the finish line of this month in style. Re-create them at home, if you’d like—and rest assured these pieces will stay relevant till the FW27 shows roll around.
WHAT TO WEAR IN...
New York
Given that the first couple days of NYFW got up into the 80s, reaching for a temperature-regulating top like this one just makes sense. Crafted from a single panel of Italian silk twill, it wraps and ruches in all the right places—plus, that extra-long sash will make for one incredible street-style snap. Complete the look with cigarette pants, pointed-toe pumps, and an 18-karat gold iteration of the iconic Bone Cuff on your bare arm.
London
A well-tailored midi skirt plus something slim on top has been the unofficial uniform of the fashion set since the ’90s, and the pairing is just as respectable today as it was then—ideal for flitting between Somerset House and the smaller venues across Central London. You’d be wise to bring a trench coat in case of afternoon showers; this new GWYN one, with its clean, A-line silhouette and streamlined details, gets the job done without detracting from what’s underneath.
Milan
With half of its shows set in opulent palazzi and the other half set in reclaimed industrial spaces like Fondazione Prada, Frigoriferi Milanesi, and the Spazio Cavallerizze, to name a few, Milan Fashion Week brings the drama in a way that only Italy can. Lean into the spectacle with a swishy pleated skirt printed with painterly strokes of cerulean, royal blue, and umber. Styled with a tonal button-up and butter-yellow slingbacks, it’s an elegant way to wear color without feeling like a box of crayons.
Paris
While there’s certainly a time and place for full-look dressing, opting for a restrained little black dress is always the move, if you ask us. The key to making it look interéssante lies in the accessories: A pair of woven leather mules for a touch of texture. A light-catching Split Cuff slid halfway up the arm. And a softly blurred, just-been-kissed lip look—this is Paris, after all.
