9 Products Our Editors Are Loving in the New Year

Written by:the Editors of goopPublished on:

Getting to know the products in the goop beauty shop is a (very fun) part of our job as goop editors. So, we tend to switch up our rotations regularly, slotting in new launches and turning back to longstanding heroes, experimenting to see how things work for us in different seasons, for different needs, in different combinations. Perhaps inevitably, in the course of all that testing, we start to play favorites, reaching for certain standouts more often than others—and each month we like to share those standouts with you.

These are the new goop launches we’re hyperfixated on this month.

1Curling Straightener 2-in-1 Styling Iron

I travel a lot and have been known to pack two or three hair tools in a single carry-on. So when the T3 Curling Straightener first landed on my desk, I was cautiously optimistic. Could one sleek tool really do the job of two full-size hair tools? In my experience, hybrid tools often function like the beauty equivalent of a spork—modestly effective, but rarely mind-blowing. Not this one. The plates are 20 percent longer than normal for faster styling, and the slim, beveled ceramic plates dramatically boost shine while allowing you to get really close to the root (eliminating that half-inch of puffy frizz that usually stands between me and a good hair day). The best part? It really does both curl and straighten hair as well as—if not better than—any of the single stylers I’ve used in the past (and I literally have a drawer of them). The beveled edges also make it really easy to add a little bend in the ends if you’re going for an otherwise straight style.

2Rejuvenative PDRN-NE Ampoule

You can’t walk down a beauty aisle—or scroll TikTok—without someone raving about PDRN, short for polydeoxyribonucleotide, aka salmon sperm (yes, really). While the K-beauty ingredient isn’t exactly new—it’s been used in Korean dermatology clinics to accelerate wound healing and regenerate tissue for over a decade—it’s had a massive resurgence lately (according to Spate, it ranked among the most-searched skin-care terms of 2025). I’ve been wanting to try it for a while but couldn’t find a clean formula—until now. Venn’s new Advanced PDRN+ Serum delivers the notoriously large molecule into skin using a proprietary nanodelivery system. There’s no fishy smell—in fact, there’s no scent at all. The texture is light and milky, and it absorbs fast, leaving behind a subtle, almost glassy sheen. After a few weeks of applying this religiously morning and night (after my vitamin C and before my peptide serum and NAD+ cream), my skin looks noticeably calmer, more hydrated, and even in tone. Because of its anti-inflammatory and barrier-repairing qualities, it plays nicely with other actives, making it really easy to layer into your existing skin-care routine.

3N.02 The Petite Care and Detangling Brush with Pouch

In our very female, very hair-obsessed household, hairbrushes disappear with the same predictability as lone socks, so when the goop-exclusive red La Bonne Brosse arrived in our Valentine’s Day gift shop, I decided it was time for a splurge. Handmade in France, this gorgeous brush is like the Ferrari of hairbrushes, with a glossy red twisted design, a gold-stamped handle, and a soft, bouncy cushion that detangles without yanking or damage. It has a blend of natural keratin-rich boar bristles and nylon fibers that smooths hair while distributing natural oils, leaving it shinier with every pass. It also comes with a cute velvet pouch so you don’t end up with boar bristles in your lipstick when you stash it in your purse.

1Salt Scalp Scrub

I rely on dry shampoo to get through the week, which makes a shampoo that tackles scalp buildup equally essential. RŌZ’s new Salt Scalp Scrub does just that, combining physical exfoliation from Himalayan and Bolivian salt crystals with chemical exfoliation from AHAs and BHAs to lift away dry, flaky skin and buildup—all while keeping the same incredible scent as the rest of the line. On my weekly “everything” shower days, I swap it in for my foundation shampoo for a satisfying deep cleanse that also sets me up for an effortless air-dry.

2The Overnight Repair Serum

Crown Affair’s new overnight repair serum is beauty sleep in a bottle. You apply the lightweight serum to your midlengths and ends before bed, brush through, and truly wake up with softer and shinier hair in the morning (and no residue left on your pillow, either). It’s also the brand’s first clinically tested product: In a four-week study, it was shown to leave hair two times softer and shinier after one use and reduce breakage up to 75 percent with continued use. The real test: After I started using it this winter, I was convinced I didn’t actually need a haircut anymore because it tamed my dead ends so well (spoiler: I still needed a haircut).

3ReFresh Eye Brightener Broad Spectrum SPF 30

This little tube has quickly become a favorite in my morning routine for covering dark under-eye circles before running out the door or hopping on a Teams call. The cooling metal rollerball feels great on the under-eyes, and the color-correcting brightener (you can apply it to your eyelids, too) instantly wakes up my entire face while providing SPF protection. It works great alone for sheer coverage or layered under a heavier-duty concealer on days when I need a little extra help.

1Face Trace Contour Stick

I’ve been on the hunt for a new contour stick since my previous one met an untimely end in my makeup bag. So I was eager to finally try Westman Atelier Face Trace Contour Stick—a hero product since the brand’s inception—when they expanded the range with five new shades this month. I now understand the hype: It's richly pigmented yet easy to blend, gliding onto my cheekbones like butter and melting into a velvety finish. It gives my pale winter skin a bronzed, softly contoured finish.

2No.15 Vanille Infinie Perfume Oil

After years of wearing Glossier You, Maison Louis Marie’s No.15 Vanille Infinie Perfume Oil finally broke the streak. It’s subtly sweet, yet doesn't veer into vanilla-cupcake territory. Best of all, it’s an oil that lingers on my skin all day.

3CitySet Lightweight Setting Spray

This feels less like a traditional setting spray and more like a skin care step. It leaves a fresh, dewy finish—never that stiff, hairspray-like feel—while still keeping my makeup in place all day. It’s alcohol- and fragrance-free, dermatologist-tested, and genuinely moisturizing. The travel size seals the deal for me as someone who loves a quick weekend getaway.
