To celebrate the relaunch of the iconic Tank Française, our team took to an equally iconic setting—architect Richard Neutra’s VDL House and Studio—to capture its essence. The watch, which originally debuted in 1996, has been reimagined for our times with sleeker lines and impactful details. The elegantly refined silhouette feels somehow both timeless and of the moment, especially when styled with similarly modern takes on classic pieces—a crisp white button-down, a double-breasted trench, black satin eveningwear, and his-for-her suiting.

Subtle updates, like a slightly enlarged case and a brushed satin bracelet, modernize the much-adored silhouette.

CARTIER TANK FRANÇAISE WATCH MEDIUM, Cartier, $24,300

Slip on a few complementary pieces (rings, small hoops, a sleek bangle) for an impactful, layered look.

The sportier steel model is equally appealing—and just right for everyday wear.
