In goop Health 2024: What We Learned—and What We Took Home with Us

Our twelfth in-person wellness summit was one for the ages. The day began with an opening ceremony led by Mayan medicinal healer, Ale Sa, presented by Mexican Caribbean. (It set an invigorating tone.) Then Kate Bowler, PhD, led a talk on lunar wisdom, where we learned tools to navigate life’s ups and downs. Ella Bell, professor of management at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and author of Our Separate Ways: Black and White Women and the Struggle for Professional Identity, led an interactive session around the power of female leadership. Sex therapist Vanessa Marin followed with a session about increasing our pleasure potential.
After lunch—catered by goop Kitchen, of course—Gwyneth opened the afternoon with an intimate Ask Me Anything session, followed by a conversation with Kristine Profeta Gedroic, MD, sponsored by BodyBio. After that, Gwyneth was joined by Cameron Brink, professional basketball player from the LA Sparks; Bea Dixon, co-founder, CEO, and Chief Innovation Officer of The Honey Pot Company; and Trina Spear, co-founder and CEO of FIGS—their panel, sponsored by New Balance, focused on working through the big and small shifts in life.
THE WALK-UPS

Outside of the main hall, our beauty and wellness playground did not disappoint: New Balance set up a legging giveaway bar, Intimissimi gave each guest a robe and slip, and Kin Euphorics created a Matchatini Bar. Our amazing goop Beauty team was on hand for makeup touch-ups. And Sheer Health handed out nourishing smoothies while educating guests on their services—the platform is dedicated to helping people navigate health insurance and defend you against denied claims and surprise medical bills.
The beauty offerings ensured that guests left glowing. There were:
- Microcurrent facials from ZIIP
- Glow touch-ups from Saie
- Lip contouring from Fara Homidi
- Hair refreshes from Rahua
- Tarot readings and scent pairings with The Maker
- Custom fragrance mixing with Heretic
On the wellness front, guests got a primer in everything from magnets to sound healing:
- Body magnet application from WTHN
- A product demo by Therabody
- Wellness shots from Hydration Room
- Matcha bar from Autonomy Foods
- Sessions in Tersa’s Sava sound pods
- Aphina’s collagen mocktails
- A sampling of gummies from Molly J
