The signs of gut imbalance—like bloating, gas, and occasional indigestion—can affect the quality of our daily lives. But when we can keep the microbiome in balance, our gut health can serve as a gateway to overall well-being. We made Gut Microbiome Superpowder to help get us there. It’s designed for anyone who wants to support gut health, to reduce occasional bloating, and to promote healthy and normal bowel function.*
THE KEY INGREDIENTS
Lactobacillus plantarum 299v (LP299V®) is a human-origin probiotic strain that has been shown in clinical studies to promote digestive health and function, including support for occasional digestive upset, bloating, and regularity. It’s also stable at room temperature—no refrigeration needed here. Gut Microbiome Superpowder is formulated with a clinically studied dose of 10 billion CFUs of Lactobacillus plantarum 299v.*
Prebiotics are compounds that feed the healthy bacteria in your gut and support the gut microbiome. For the prebiotic in Gut Microbiome Superpowder, we picked Sunfiber®, a soluble dietary fiber made from partially hydrolyzed guar gum.*
Gut Microbiome Superpowder contains a blend of digestive enzymes—proteases, lipase, amylase, and cellulase—to help support the digestion and absorption of nutrients from food. They can help promote digestive comfort, too. The ones we’ve used here are derived from vegan sources.*
L-glutamine and aloe juice concentrate
To round out our formulation, we included aloe juice concentrate, which is traditionally used for its soothing effects, as well as the amino acid L-glutamine.*
WHAT TO EXPECT
The superpowder doesn’t taste like much—we left it unflavored so you can mix it into just about any beverage. But for best results, choose drinks that are cool or room temperature; mixing the superpowder into hot liquids can kill the probiotics, making them ineffective. If you’re looking for a special way to enjoy Gut Microbiome Superpowder, we’ll point you to the blueberry, chia, and coconut kefir smoothie our food director, Caitlin O’Malley, whipped up for us. (It’s delicious.) The superpowder is gluten-free, vegan, soy-free, sugar-free, non-GMO, and made without preservatives or artificial colors or flavors. You can take it any time of day with or without food. As with any supplement, consistency is key: This is something you’ll want to take daily.
