Cozy Shoes
I don’t know how it is where all of you are, but I am freezing my ass off. I will be relying heavily on my cozy winter boots to get me through to spring, however far off it may seem. Here are some of my favorites.
Love, gp
mou
Antelope Cowboy boot, £345 & Kids Mini Eskimo Boot, £100
I’ve been a big fan of mou, Shelley Tichborne’s 8 year-old line of cozy footwear, for a few years now. My kids and I all have pairs of their hand-stitched Eskimo boots and I’m loving their shaggier models, like this pair that I bought a few months ago.
No. 6
8” Lace Up Shearling Leather Boot, $420
Karin Bereson and Morgan Yakus, owners and founders of the vintage-inspired boutique No. 6, reinvented the clog and brought it back to stay. I fell for their shearling lined boots that you can roll down to show some more of the lining, but their lined lace ups are near perfection.
Celtic Sheepskin Company
Side Tie Ribbon Boots, £135
Here’s a cute variation of the UGG boot, made by the Celtic Sheepskin Company in Newquay, England.
Stella McCartney
Over-the-knee faux-suede boot, $625
Stella McCartney has made a much needed animal-friendly and cool cozy boot, in an otherwise empty market. I have these over-the-knee boots and wear them over leggings or jeans.
Quoddy + J.Crew
Quoddy tweed and leather grizzly boots, $390
J.Crew and Quoddy, the Maine-based, family-owned purveyor of handsewn shoes, have collaborated on one of Quoddy’s signature styles this year—this tweed and leather boot that I just couldn’t resist. Quoddy also have several other unisex styles available on their site, for the well-executed androgynous look…
Jimmy Choo + UGG
Mandah, $795
Jimmy Choo and UGG have collaborated this year to spruce up the classic UGG. This is my favorite style from the group.
Opening Ceremony
Opening Ceremony, Lara Fur, $378
Opening Ceremony’s w30 bumper bootie is over-the-top, in the best sense of the expression
