Sun, Sweat,
and (Super Sustainable) Workout Gear
Streamlined leggings that wick away sweat. Dusty-pink pullovers that are as pretty as they are performance-minded. Supportive underlayers that are too flattering to cover up. Oh, and all of it is spun from recycled materials like plastic bottles. Sold.
It’s official: Even retail giant H&M has stepped into the sustainability game. The Swedish-based
company’s
central goal? To rely solely on responsibly sourced materials by 2030. And if the company’s future collections are
anywhere near as good as its new line of consciously made workout clothes,
there’s plenty to get excited about. So
we packed
our bags and settled in at the Hotel Joaquin—a seaside sanctuary on the craggy coastline of
Laguna Beach—for a few restorative days of sun,
sand, and sweat in celebration of the launch.
Here’s what we learned: Meditation is best
practiced to a soundtrack of crashing waves.
Even bad people can do yoga. And sustainability
looks damn good in a downward dog.
