What to Pack for Spring Break: Fashion Team Picks

Packing for a weeklong vacation requires discernment—that is, the wisdom to know the difference between a must-have (say, a wear-everywhere dress) and a nice-to-have (20 extra pairs of underwear). One of the most discerning groups we know? The goop fashion team. As women who work with clothes all day long, they’re hyperattuned to what’s chic, yes—but also what’s practical, versatile, and just plain worthwhile. We asked them what they’re most excited about bringing on their upcoming trips; here’s what they said.
This year I plan to (try to) pack everything into a carry-on, so every item needs to be a workhorse. This Natalie Martin number is a dress for strolling around, a cover-up for the pool, and a great layering piece for travel days paired with a light cotton-linen trouser and a sweater draped over the shoulders.
I will be packing this fun La DoubleJ skirt. The bold print makes styling a breeze: I’ll throw on a white tee and flat sandals for a casual daytime look, then a blouse and heels for a more elevated dinner look.
I adore a classic pearl necklace, and the gold doughnut detail on this one is a great modern twist. It’s the perfect beach-to-dinner necklace that I’ll never need to take off.
I am going to Hawaii with my parents and fiancé in March and am definitely bringing these chunky Toteme leather sandals. They’re perfect for walking around and for the beach, but I can also dress them up for dinner. Back at the office, I’ll pair them with a tailored Bermuda short and a blazer for a different take on a spring suit.
I’m packing this gorgeous Bond-Eye bikini. It’s the perfect blue for both pool and beach with its subtle metallic shine, and I love that the cutout on the top teases a little skin while still looking elegant.
This is the bag of all bags for any trip because I can literally throw everything I need in it for a day of sightseeing or beaching. I love anything striped, and these neutral stripes pair so nicely with my everyday uniform of jeans and a tee.
