“Of all of our G. Label pieces, the knit Henley is one of the most versatile,” says our styling director, Sarah Rose. “You can dress it up or down. Wear it by itself, with a jacket, or even over a swimsuit. And since it’s lightweight, it truly works for any season.” It’s why she keeps several of them—in classic black, denim blue, and butter yellow—on hand to style with on set. “I love the yellow one especially,” she says. “It’s muted enough to act as a neutral but still a fun pop of color.” We asked Rose to put together three looks using this alleged goes-with-everything workhorse; here are the results.
ON THE CLOCK
In Italian virgin wool finished with handsome faux-horn buttons, this slim top tucks smoothly into skirts, slips easily under blazers, and holds its own styled with classic workwear staples, like tailored trousers and leather flats.

OFF THE CLOCK
Contrast that soft, desaturated shade of yellow with something deeper, like a pair of dark-wash jeans in a weekend-friendly wide-leg cut. Tie it all together with our Prep School Sweater and similarly retro-looking accessories.

OUT OF OFFICE
While a finely knit wool top might not be the first (or even the fifth) piece you think to pack for your beach vacation, you’ll be surprised by how well it works with the linen pants you love to shimmy on after a day of sun, sand, and surf.
