Technically a type of velvet, corduroy is characterized by its soft hand and raised ribs, which vary in width from broad to needle-thin for a variety of looks. It was beloved by beatniks in the ’50s and It girls of the ’70s—just as it is by many members of the goop fashion team today.

CASHMERE
