Dear Anne, I’m starting a new job, and while I wouldn’t call it corporate, I’ll be working in an office environment. I need some new clothes even though I already have a lot of basics. What should I buy to round it all out? –Jane T.

Dear Jane, I love this question. (I’m the nerd that sends my sister daily links to things she should buy for her work wardrobe.) Adding excitement while remaining office-appropriate is a delicate art. My advice: Go for a tiny bit of pattern—a cool stripe, some color blocking, or a bit of camouflage will do the trick.
