Dear Anne, I’ve got the basics covered this winter in the coat department, but what I am really craving is something a bit more interesting—a pop of color, a playful silhouette, but I still need it to be warm. Any ideas? —Lisa L.

Dear Lisa, I personally love a strong outerwear choice. The great thing about bold outerwear is that it doesn’t have to be, well, loud. Here, three of my favorite styles for right now—proving even the most basic cold-weather staple is ripe for reinvention.
