How goop’s Head of Private Client
Experience Gets It All Done in a Day
In partnership with our friends at Porsche
To know goop’s head of private client experience, Kelly Egarian, is to love her. Is it her quick wit, or her big personality, or her hypersociable approachability? It’s actually the very-Kelly combination of all three. It’s what makes her the perfect point person for all things client-facing at goop. And when we say all things, we mean that it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for her to show up at a client’s door ready to talk styling advice or organize their entire kitchen. In other words, she’s the girl, the sounding board, and the expert opinion you want on speed dial.
Whether she’s performing personal shopping duties, hosting trunk shows at goop Brentwood, or pulling together a dreamy dinner or a clambake in some idyllic setting (events—remember those?), no two days are alike. But whatever’s on the agenda, you can bet it’s fueled by strong coffee, a closet full of G. Label, and a sleek ride to get her from point A to point B (then C, and D, sometimes even E).
9 HOURS WITH KELLY
To say my days come at me full-speed would be a vast understatement. First: Pilates. Then change into (elevated) sweats and grab coffee around the corner at my favorite local haunt, Great White. There’s always a happy run-in with my Aussie friends over breakfast burritos and the best flat white outside of Byron Bay.
I spend a lot of time in the car, by choice and by necessity. After caffeinating, I like to head to the beach to slide my toes in the sand and have my daily phone check-in with my mom. Working remotely from Venice and being able to walk in the water year-round is a major perk (as an East Coast girl, I’ll never get over the novelty). But on back-to-back days bouncing around LA, a reliable ride is what keeps me punctual. Getting from zero to sixty in under six seconds without an ounce of gas—that’s right, electric—is my kind of energy.
While my backyard office is the ultimate WFH setup, the Taycan is the next best thing. After an overnight charge, I’ll take my morning calls over Bluetooth while driving down the palm-tree-lined streets of Santa Monica to my home away from home: goop Brentwood at the Country Mart, where I oversee our retail store experience.
Gifting is my love language, so when a client hits up my bat phone with a special request—beauty pick-me-ups for a BFF, a custom-made Spinelli Kilcollin ring—I’m on it. Traffic in LA is notoriously crazy, but there’s honestly nothing I love more than cruising around the city while catching up with clients.
Head home for outfit change number three (yes, really), a swipe of mascara, and something high-shine for the neckline. Date night usually commences over otherworldly Margherita pizza at Felix or Parmesan-dusted bowls of bucatini at Scopa. My fiancé works UK hours, so we tend to rise and dine early.
