Whoever designed this thought of everything. The outside is done in a water-resistant rubberized fabric that wipes down easily. The inside has three mesh compartments (one large zippered section and two elasticized pockets) so you can separate your serums from your travel-size toothpaste. There’s even a snap-off pouch, which is ideal for storing smaller items, like bobby pins and Q-tips; an interior hanger that attaches to any hook or door handle; and a top handle for easy toting.
After founding the Country Roads Foundation—a nonprofit that serves New York City’s kids in need—in 2009, Brooklyn-based husband/wife duo Scot and Jacqueline Tatelman founded STATE Bags, a benefit corporation that makes stylish and resilient backpacks with special attention to the kids who need it most: For each bag purchased, they hand-deliver a backpack fully stocked with school supplies and other necessities to an American child in need.
