Boo-Hooray Summer Rental
805 Montauk Hwy., Montauk
Husband-and-wife team Johan Kugelberg and Dr. Lila Wolfe, owners of the NYC archiving company Boo-Hooray, have brought their love of counter-culture to the East End this summer with this combined art boutique-gallery. The duo is showcasing some of their featured books and posters that preserve rare 20th and 21st century art and cultural movements, in tandem with hosting weekly art exhibits and events. Their inaugural exhibit, "Vintage Surf Posters & Ephemera," offers a dose of history with a side of nostalgia.

Cynthia Rowley
696 Montauk Hwy., Montauk
Cynthia Rowley is something of a Montauk OG (she's been surfing out here with her family for years), and the same could be said for her boutique, which opened up back in 2010. Her collection of beach-ready pieces includes everything from graphic, color-blocked rash guards, to sporty swimsuits, to cover-ups, and even one downright chic-patterned soft-top surfboard. For the 2017 season, Rowley is hosting an edited selection of the her favorite oils, sunscreen, and potions from CAP Beauty. A bonus: Sagtown Coffee will be on hand to brew iced coffee on the go.

Former Calypso designer Joelle Klein applies her laid-back Parisienne aesthetic to this jewel-box-sized boutique just off Montauk Highway. Inside, she stocks everything from breezy linen dresses from French label Mes Demoiselles, the entire range of Tata Harper (a goop Clean Beauty shop favorite), handmade nautical-inspired knot bracelets from the Knot House, dip-dyed marinière shirts, plus a small selection of straw bags that Klein has picked up on her various travels.
