A Guy + A Girl Photography LA
The spirited duo behind A Guy + A Girl, Michael Kelley and Lauren Saldutti, are masters at capturing shots that feel full of life. Their portfolio is playful in the best way, and every wedding they shoot looks more fun than the last. Typically, Michael and Lauren shoot separately (with a second photographer), but you can book them together. They’re fully bi-coastal, with posts in both NYC and LA.
A Merry Riot
Jenet and Erica are long-time publicists that met working together at a big entertainment PR firm—it was their shared love of easy, casual parties that led to A Merry Riot. They specialize in the kind of casual event design (kids birthday parties are actually their bread and butter) that makes all of the guests want to take their shoes off, in a good way. They’re also full service, meaning they can handle catering, décor, florals, music, and more.
Although her corporate events are really beautifully executed (no surprise, with clients like Salesforce, Airbnb, and Pier 24), Alison is best known for her gorgeous weddings in Northern California (and really, all over the world). She's expert at creating an experience that feels uniquely personal and not recycled.
Amy Blessing Event Planning
Amy is probably best described as a stylist rather than a planner, as her services go far beyond booking vendors (though her rolodex is packed with cool creatives). Her true talents lie in perfecting the thoughtful little details that make events awesome—be it party favors, place settings, floral crowns, or craft stations for kids. Amy co-owns Apartment Number Nine in Chicago with her sister, and they do event work there as well.
Amy Kaneko Events
Amy is an alumnus of Yifat Oren, one of our all-time favorite event-planning outfits, so you know she's got the chops to pull off amazing parties. She is also a trained architect, which explains her excellent sense of space and knack for focusing on the right subtle design techniques to make the most of your venue.
Anigo Garden Design
Michael Kirchmann left a big landscaping firm to literally branch out on his own: His work is inspired, beautiful, and low-maintenance and his prices are a deal. He hands everything from land to hardscaping, and will tutor your gardener in how to care for the new greenery to ensure it survives his tenure.
Annie Campbell Catering
There are many reasons why we love Annie Campbell, not the least of which is her understanding that good passed apps have to be bite-sized. Her food is consistently delicious and presented in a reliably creative, beautiful way—so pretty, in fact, you don't need much else in the way of decorations.
Arturo’s Shoe Fixx
9643 S. Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills
For over 67 years, the Beverly Hills community has been relying on Arturo for all kinds of shoe repairs. Despite his upscale location and clientele, simple services like heel replacement and tear repairs are still under 10 bucks.
Family-owned and operated since 1997, ATA Transportation pride themselves on their punctuality and professionalism. Whether it's an airport transfer or a private car to take you around, these guys are a primary go-to.
Atelier Joya does justice to both massive corporate events and one-off arrangements, but weddings are really what they're known for (lush bridal bouquets, flower-topped cakes, and centerpieces that cascade onto the floor). They also have a great rental service for the kind of beautiful things you could buy for an event but might not have use for in the long run. Their warehouse is full of wooden crates, wire baskets, antique lanterns, and even a chuppah.
