We’re totally on board with the surging poke trend, but eating raw fish of unknown provenance and freshness can always be a little dubious. This is better than anything you can find at a poke shop and it only takes 5 minutes to make.
½ pound sushi-quality tuna, cut into ½-inch dice
3 tablespoons ponzu
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 scallion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1 sheet nori, cut into small strips
1. Combine diced tuna, ponzu, sesame oil, scallion, and both kinds of sesame seeds.
2. Stir to combine and garnish with julienned nori.
