Strawberry Gingersnap Smoothie

This smoothie is anti-inflammatory, boosts immunity, and soothes digestion. Make your own almond milk for added nutrients—1 cup of soaked raw almonds blended with 3 cups of water, strained with a nut milk bag. If you don’t have access to cold-pressed juice, use 1 apple (cored) instead for extra fiber and texture.

Makes 1 large smoothie

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 banana

3-4 inch piece of fresh ginger root grated

1/4 cup raw almonds

1/2 lemon juice

1 cup cold-pressed apple juice

1 cup almond milk

1. Combine all ingredients in a powerful blender.
