Sourdough Garlic Croutons
These sourdough croutons are my go-to. They are family-tested and family-approved, and they cannot be left on the counter without supervision.
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and use convection mode if that’s an option. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, oil, cheese, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the bread cubes and toss until evenly coated. Pour the bread cubes onto the prepared baking sheet and spread out so the cubes can brown on all sides. Bake until golden brown and crispy on the outside, stirring halfway through, 10 to 15 minutes (longer for a regular oven).
3. Add to a salad or cool completely and store in an airtight container at room temperature (use within a few days).
