They’re blown from borosilicate glass, which, unlike regular glass, is thermal-shock- and fracture-resistant. And they’re so beautiful, in a translucent sand hue, with elegant ridges along the vessel and an elongated pear shape to the stem—they’re the perfect blend of simple and elegant.

Founded in 2006 by Jay Vosoghi and Sara Mostofi, R+D.LAB is a Milan-based creative design studio that collaborates with artisans and traditional manufacturers to create beautiful, functional, distinctive home goods. Though we first fell in love with the glassware—each of the artfully curved carafes and finely ribbed chalices is hand-blown in Italy by third-generation glassblowers—their functional objets d'art (earthenware ceramics, stunning wool blankets) are what keep us coming back.
