Catching the iconic green-and-white bus at any of the numerous pickup points in the city and then suffering through hours of LIE traffic with fellow riders is a pretty classic New York experience. And while it’s not the most time-conscious way of getting to the Hamptons, it is the most economical (on average, a ticket will run you $30) and has the potential of being the most fun, too, especially if socializing is at the top of your weekend to-do list.
