At barely nine months old, David Chang’s food delivery start-up Maple is still a baby, but it’s already surpassed the competition by leaps and bounds in quality and efficiency. Each step of the ordering process is handled in-house—from food prep to fulfillment to delivery—which allows the a la carte lunches and dinners to get to their destinations all over Manhattan fast, like 30-minutes fast. Like a restaurant, specials change nightly, and while dietary restrictions aren’t the main priority, ingredients are always top notch (the steak in a garlic & herb beef dish, for example, is hormone-free and locally-sourced) and veggie dishes like cauliflower steak with cashew sauce are readily available.
