An old friend of GP’s turned us on to this amazing, old-school restaurant near Piazza Navona, which restaurateur Biagio Polese first opened back in the ’60s (it’s now run by his sons, Paolo and Lorenzo). The restaurant is housed in a beautiful old palace—ask your waiter to fill you in on the specifics of the history—with an elegant, white-tablecloth-style interior and a romantic little patio overlooking the square. It’s the kind of place you should come for classic Roman dishes, like spaghetti puttanesca, grilled artichokes, and cacio e pepe.
