The best part about this hotel is the earthy, relaxed atmosphere. The furniture is made from materials like straw, rattan, wicker, and bamboo, and most of the walls seem to be made of overlapping chestnut branches, making the whole place smell nice and woodsy. The rooms have all the creature comforts and huge bathrooms built to resemble caves, with dark, sloping walls and incredibly deep tubs made for long soaks before bed. The hotel restaurant, Tortuga, is excellent, thanks in part to Michelin-starred, Athens-based chef Lefteris Lazarou, who consults on the summer menu.
