Icebergs is Sydney’s cake-topper. You know, that pretty figurine on top of a gorgeous, many-layered cake that keeps an eye on all the action. Once you’re through the doors of the cavernous dining room, it’s hard to distinguish inside from outside. All you can see is blue: mainly the unyielding blue of the South Pacific (and the floor-to-ceiling windows to show it off) as well as the leather seating and reflective columns inside. Just standing in the room is a delight, and that’s before you’ve even eaten anything. The food is Italian-inspired and heavy on fish (the crudo is molto bene). If you don’t want to commit to dinner, remember that the bar’s patrons get the same view, and a sunset Negroni tastes better up there.
