For a perfect cup of chai, this blend combines the heat of cinnamon, ginger, and pepper with cardamom, star anise, and aromatic cloves, plus delicious and fragrant coriander—ideal for making chai lattes at home. (Bonus: simmering this blend will make your whole house smell fantastic.)
Using a ratio of a cup of water to 1 tablespoon chai mix, simply simmer the water and spices for 10 minutes, add a teaspoon of Indian black tea or Rooibos and 1/3 cup milk (or milk alternative) and simmer, allowing it to foam and fall three times. Strain and sweeten.
