Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art
1200 Forrest Park Dr., Belle Meade
While this destination has plenty to appeal to grown-ups, too, they also host Tuesdays for Tots (from September through May) and Saturday morning activities (year round) that are for littles. You can bring your kids from 10 to 12 for a drop-in art class. It's a good opportunity for little ones to get down and dirty with glue, markers, glitter, and paint.
Frist Center for the Visual Arts
