Hovering somewhere between a beanie and a ski mask, this knit hood serves one very important purpose: to keep your head warm during the winter months. Each one is hand-knit in Peru from soft, regionally sourced merino wool and takes eight hours to complete.
It all started with a vintage fedora that founder Janessa Leoné purchased during a trip to Paris—stamped inside were the milliner’s initials and, serendipitously, it turned out that his last name was also Leone. Leoné took it as a sign. More than a decade later, her eponymous brand has grown from a small millinery label into a full-fledged accessories line, making similarly long-lasting, timeless pieces. We first fell in love with the straw and wool hats, but today the line also includes luxurious leather goods and sumptuously soft knits. Since its inception, the brand has been committed to sourcing materials responsibly from farms and production facilities around the world—Los Angeles, New York, Pennsylvania, Madagascar, and Ecuador.
