Housed in a former 1920’s movie theater, Rivertown Lodge is one of the newer spots in the Hudson Valley. A welcoming library is stocked with old books (best enjoyed by the open, wood-burning stoves) or the screened-in porch, there’s often a hot tea or cider on the stove for taking during colder months. The design is a lesson in taste, much of with a minimalist Scandinavia bent replete with vintage and custom furniture, handwoven rugs, a gorgeous front desk designed by Brooklyn-based Workstead, Zak + Fox upholstery, and brass lighting.
