Beyond her gentle approach, it's her kind and wise manner that makes an appointment with her extend beyond healing—we always learn a lot, too.
Aimee Raupp Beauty
928 Broadway, Flatiron
A facial here involves amazing acupuncture, collagen-infused masks, ghee-powered face oils, and, perhaps most incredibly, face cupping. Practitioner Aimee Raupp, besides waking up your entire face (your whole body feels good after a treatment), can talk to you about diet, hormones, and many other aspects of women’s health—her book on fertility and pregnancy, Yes, You Can Get Pregnant, was a bestseller, and she has a new book on health and autoimmunity coming out next month. Her treatments were a huge hit at the recent In goop Health Summit for a reason—they are absolutely transformative.
Amanda Kloots at Bandier Studio B
164 5th Ave., Flatiron
Trainer and former New York City Rockette Amanda Kloots brings her love of staying in shape—and having fun along the way to three of her signature hour-long classes—the Dance, the Rope, and the Body—at Bandier Studio B. The Rope focuses on high-energy jump roping (it burns 10 calories a minute while toning your body) and her easy-to-do-at-home moves include everything from standing side crunches and jump overs to stability lunges. The Dance zeroes in on what Amanda does best—and the constantly changing cardio dance sweat session ensures it never gets too repetitive even if you drop into class a couple times a week. She uses the see-and-follow method for guiding you through class, which sounds intimidating, but totally works. Her latest offering is The Body, which is modeled after her private classes—it's a mix of upbeat dance moves, plus a toning series on the mat. (Be prepared to s-w-e-a-t.) If you're not in NYC, there's an entire section of her site dedicated to streaming the workouts here.

For exceptional skincare at an accessible price point, head to this facial spa located next-door to Madison Square Park (there’s a second location in Tribeca). With a membership option, flexible scheduling, and a staff of New York State-accredited and licensed estheticians on hand, Heyday manages to make it easier and, most importantly, more convenient than many luxury facial spas to stop in for a last-minute tune-up.
Marie Robinson Salon
155 5th Ave., Flatiron
One of the most gifted colorists in the world, Marie Robinson and her large team of top makeup artists, colorists, and stylists staff this busy, lofty salon in the Flatiron. The clean lines and earth tones make the place a serene reprieve from the stresses of city life, even though it’s jam-packed at all times. Marie herself, in the salon with full days of appointments, is hard to miss; she’s the one with the absolutely impeccable icy-bleach blond cut (often with the perfect tinge of roots).
Olivier Bros, P.T.
286 Fifth Ave., Kips Bay
Trained in physical therapy, osteopathy, homeopathy, and acupuncture a session with Olivier Bros involves a combination of these practices—what's called a manual holistic technique. You generally need a prescription to see him but it is so worth it.
Ophira & Tali Edut
39 W. 14th St., Flatiron
We first discovered Ophira and Tali Edut (otherwise known as the AstroTwins) through their fantastic book, Momstrology, an insightful guide to understanding and dealing with your kids through astrology; we devoured their Love Zodiac next. Their site, and own-brand imprint horoscope books and ebooks, including their popular annual horoscope guides, are all incredible resources. We met with Ophira for an individual session, where she connected by drawing up astrology charts, giving deep, unexpected insights into all parts of life.
29 E 19th St., Flatiron
There’s a hair salon, nail studio, and 14 treatment rooms where you can get an array of treatments from high-tech facials (the Oxylight Facial is an over-the-top combination of micro-current, ultrasound, oxygen therapy, and more to lift, tighten, and smooth) and pore-shrinking laser therapies to life-affirming massages and detox body wraps (you’re slathered in antioxidant-packed sea mud, which leaves skin insanely silky). The two-floor space is posh—and sprawling—and we can’t recommend enough their Bio Seaweed Gel manicure, which uses 5-free polish, LED light to set the pigment (as opposed to potentially harmful UV light), and lasts about a month. A facial with founder/skin-whisperer Danuta Mieloch is transformative—her touch is exquisite and you emerge looking totally glowy.
