Rollin McCraty, Ph.D., is director of research and a founding member of the HeartMath Institute, where a group of scientists in Northern California have been researching the science of the heart for almost thirty years. In particular, they focus on a physiological state supported by an overwhelming number of medical and scientific studies that was eventually termed the “heart-coherent state.”
Rollin is a psychophysiologist and a professor at Florida Atlantic University; his research interests include the physiology of emotion, with a focus on the mechanisms by which emotions influence cognitive processes, behavior, and health.
