Osvaldo Vazquez is the mixologist and beverage manager at The Cape Hotel. He joined the team after previous leading roles at luxury resorts and destinations in Los Cabos, including The Resort at Pedegral and the former Nikki Beach. In 2015, Vazquez was one of 11 grand prize winners (selected among a pool of bartenders and mixologists from around the world) in the G’Vine Global Bartender Challenge for his creative cocktail recipe inspired by the creator of the color television. Celebrated for his extensive knowledge of regional spirits and avant-garde approach to cocktails, Vazquez prides himself on using seasonal, and often house made, ingredients. In fact, Vazquez launched his own line of Mexican-inspired aged bitters, dubbed Bitter and Barrel, carried in high-end bars around the world. He hosts regular weekly tastings at The Cape, including the Agave Experience, which leads guests through a hands-on tasting of tequila, mescal, and other regional agave spirits.
