    The James in Chicago.  My mom always stayed there when she visited me in college so it feels like a second home—it’s understated, comfortable, and urban chic.

    Singita Ebony Lodge in South Africa & Casa Angelina in Praiano, Italy.

    Lilli and Loo for their stellar, vast, and safe gluten-free menu. (I have celiac disease.)
