All-Time Favorite goop Detox Recipes

All-Time Favorite goop Detox Recipes

Every January is detox month at goop, so over the last ten years we’ve compiled quite a catalog of detox recipes that are remarkably delicious (in addition to being super healthy). Some are light and refreshing, like the little gem salad with sweet/savory carrot-ginger dressing, and some, like the deeply spiced chickpea and kale curry, are hearty and warm. There are even a few good-for-you sweet things, like coconutty clean granola and cocoa-date truffles. And then there’s the ultimate cult favorite: Detox Chicken Teriyaki. These ten will not just get you through a detox; they’ll probably stay favorites in your kitchen long after detox month has passed.

  • Detox Teriyaki Chicken

This sauce is detox-friendly because it doesn’t use sugar or soy, but it has a great depth of flavor and is the perfect consistency.

  • Jicama Shrimp Tacos

    Jicama Shrimp Tacos

Who knew thinly sliced jicama makes the perfect tortilla replacement for a healthier taco? Insanely delicious and super versatile (they’re also great with chicken, fish, or black beans instead of shrimp), this is a grain-free alternative to one of our favorite foods.

If you like kimchi, you’ll flip for this spicy, veggie-packed cauliflower fried “rice.”

  • Clean Granola

    Clean Granola

This granola is totally addictive. Baking it for a long time at a low heat makes it super crunchy, and it’s detox-friendly, so you can snack guilt-free. Eat with milk, over yogurt in a parfait, or plain by the handful.

  • GP's Morning "Smoothie"

    GP's Morning "Smoothie"

GP drinks one of these every morning, whether or not she’s detoxing. Choose your Moon Juice Moon Dust depending on what the day ahead holds…Brain before a long day at the office, Sex Dust before a date, etc.

  • Chickpea and Kale Curry

    Chickpea and Kale Curry

This makes a lot of curry, but it gets better as it sits in the fridge and freezes well, too. We love it with brown rice, but it’s also great on its own or with quinoa. Feel free to add more stock and coconut milk if you like a slightly soupier consistency.

  • Salad with Carrot & Ginger Dressing

Salad with Carrot & Ginger Dressing

This dressing is the jam! Great on salads and as a veggie dip. There’s enough dressing for two salads here, so save the extra.

  • Chicken Paillard with Zucchini Noodles

    Chicken Paillard with Zucchini Noodles

This is so good, we happily chow down on it even when we’re not detoxing. These noodles would be yummy on their own or with any other protein as well (i.e., grilled salmon).

  • Pina Chlor-ada

    Pina Chlor-ada

The pineapple and mint in this smoothie are not only the perfect foil for the chlorella, but they are super energizing, making this the ultimate way to wake up.

  • Detox Truffles

    Detox Truffles

These raw, three-ingredient truffles are the perfect bite to satisfy your detoxing sweet tooth. We recommend making a double batch and keeping them in the fridge so you’re always ready to combat those cookie cravings.
