What Goes Down at a Golden Hour Dinner Party?

Recently, friends of goop and Audemars Piguet gathered in the tranquil gardens of Shou Sugi Ban House for golden hour. The guests—who included inspirational female founders and CEOs, entrepreneurs, fashion and interior designers, writers, and creatives—mingled as the setting sun bathed the space in a diffused, rosy-orange light. It was a fun scene: Cocktail glasses clinked. A suit-clad quartet played Café del Mar–inspired music. Tinx, wearing a Royal Oak, interviewed passersby with her TikTok-famous tiny microphone.
As the light faded, everyone moved inside for dinner. Guests sat down to a long, glowing table set with what seemed like a million flickering candles. The food (pan-seared hake, prime rib, miso-glazed cabbage) was passed. And then it was time for toasts.
Ginny Wright, Audemars Piguet CEO of the Americas, raised a glass to the guests. And Gwyneth expressed her gratitude for the event. “At goop, we’re lucky to partner with value-aligned brands, like Audemars Piguet, that support women like all of you: women who have something to say, women who are moving the needle,” she said. “The value of time is immeasurable, so I’m very happy to take a moment to gather, to make memories, and to create real connection in a world that’s so fast and furious.”
A prescient sentiment. By the end of the evening, new friendships had been forged, old friends had caught up, and everyone seemed to agree: We need more nights like this.
