Real Men Eat goop: The Margarita
Drinking Margaritas with GP at 11 a.m. wasn’t what NYC chef Seamus Mullen had planned for his latest goop HQ visit, but he’s a man who’s willing to suffer for his art. Together, the two of them cooked up some bright, fresh, tropical dishes, like grilled mahi-mahi with papaya relish and shrimp tacos on our favorite grain-free shell (it’s made of jicama). As GP says, “¡Andale!” Cheers to that.
The Original Margarita
You really can’t beat the original. It’s enduring because it’s chic, simple, and totally delicious.
Grain-Free Jicama Shrimp Tacos
These tacos are super clean and totally satisfying. The crunch of the jicama is a great swap for a crunchy corn tortilla shell. We use habanero hot sauce here, which is balanced out by the cool jicama and avocado, but any hot sauce will do.
Grilled Mahi-Mahi with Papaya Relish
Taking a bite of this perfectly grilled fish with a bright fruit relish will transport you to a more tropical setting. It’s both elegant and easy, so you’ll have plenty of time to whip up cocktails for your guests.
Pining for You
This cocktail is the perfect mate to Seamus Mullen’s grilled mahi-mahi dish, but it would be pretty great on any occasion. The coriander salt really makes the drink, so don’t skip it!
