In past lives, this limestone-clad, neo-Jacobean mansion served as a police academy and maternity ward. English-country-house obsessives, rejoice: In 2021, after a total reimagining by Ennismore, the brand collective responsible for Hoxton Shoreditch and Gleneagles, Estelle Manor opened as a five-star hotel and members club. While some parts of the property are members-only, non-members won’t feel a shortage of space. Guests enjoy the bright brasserie, weekend dim sum in the billiards room, an arboretum, a living room bar, and 60 acres of open land, stables, and padel courts. Classical Roman tepidariums inspired the spa, which features five thermal pools and treatments that draw on ancient healing traditions. The property is technically family-friendly, and there are activities suitable for all ages, but it should be noted that some bedrooms are off-limits for kids under 13.

Tucked in the rolling fields of Oxfordshire, members-only Soho Farmhouse is a compound that includes a, well…farmhouse, several luxury cabins, stables, and a velvet-laden screening room. The décor mirrors the other branches–so members will feel instantly at home–with plenty of country-chic details thrown in (note: green hunter Wellies at guests’ disposal). There’s a ton to do here, from swimming in the heated outdoor pools or lake (the latter is stocked with row-boats for day use), to indulging in the spa. For total privacy, book one of the cottages, equipped with bicycles, rainforest showers, and wood burning stoves, all of which make it pretty hard to leave.

This stunning old-world spot in Oxfordshire is home to Raymond Blanc's two Michelin-star restaurant and an attached Cookery School. There, you can master macaroons and pistachio soufflés, or a fail-safe menu for a Spring dinner party. They also have tons of cooking classes for kids. Speaking of children: There are only thirty-two tastefully appointed guest rooms, and while this Belmond has the feel of a quiet English countryside manor, they go above and beyond to ensure that little ones are entertained too. There are bikes, bocce, buckets of toys, and video games on-site.
