Casa Telmo
Carrer d'en Deià, 27, Mahón
The owners of Quintana Roo, a local interior design company, originally purchased this historic home to live in but eventually converted it to a five-room boutique hotel. Despite its location right in the center of Mahón, the only indication you’ve arrived is a red door (there is no sign). Each room is inspired by the fictional travels of “Telmo,” a fictional character whose story is woven through the building. Casa Telmo is far from minimal—antiques, wicker baskets, and tasteful curios fill every nook. The M suite, with its terracotta floors and blush pink bathroom, was an immediate favorite. For something smaller but no less grand, try the E suite, which is tucked under the eaves on the top floor and mimics a luxe safari tent with plush velvet club chairs and zebra hide rugs.
