It’s certainly not cheap, but this app lets you book a seat on a helicopter out to the Hamptons—or you can just book the whole thing and sublet the seats to others, if there isn’t a flight at the time you need to take off. In inclement weather, they’ll drive you to your destination in luxury cars.

This service is backed by the people behind the Standard hotels, so extra attention is paid to client experience—which makes sense, since snagging a seat on one of the seaplanes starts at $595 each way. Scheduling-wise, pickups are on Thursdays and Fridays from the East River, with return trips on Sundays and Mondays.

In thirty-five minutes, Fly the Whale can take you from the heart of Manhattan to Montauk, East Hampton, or Westhampton (or back) for around $535. Better yet: Its amphibious planes take off from and land on the East River.

Good news in the affordable-ride department: Uber is back operating in the Hamptons. After a two-year hiatus fueled by local regulations, the ride-sharing app returned to the East End.

For about $400 each way, this helicopter ride-sharing service will get you from the city to East Hampton (or Nantucket, or Martha's Vineyard) in less than an hour. What separates Gotham from other Uber-esque operations is that you can charter a single seat as opposed to the entire helicopter. At a price, they'll even organize a flight from Manhattan to any local airport in as little as 20 minutes.

Though not quite as fast as a helicopter or a private jet, a membership with Barton and Gray gets you unlimited, year-round access to a fleet of tricked-out, fully staffed yachts. In the summer, this means stops in Martha's Vineyard, the Hamptons, Nantucket, and more; winter harbors include Miami, Sarasota, and numerous islands. Annual fees are steep—like $30,000-to-start steep.

This NYC-based membership service functions kind of like a traditional car service, but greener: In addition to GoGreen's hybrid-only fleet, the company goes as far as purchasing carbon credits to ensure carbon neutrality. Booking happens via the gloriously simple app, which has options for instant car requests, future scheduling, and by-the-hour bookings—a godsend when trying to bang out multiple errands when back in the city.

Catching the iconic green-and-white bus at any of the numerous pickup points in the city and then suffering through hours of LIE traffic with fellow riders is a pretty classic New York experience. And while it's not the most time-conscious way of getting to the Hamptons, it is the most economical (on average, a ticket will run you $30) and has the potential of being the most fun, too, especially if socializing is at the top of your weekend to-do list.

This is the bus equivalent of flying first-class: The leather seats recline, the snacks are plentiful (there's also a self-serve bar in the back of the bus), and entertainment comes in the form of overhead screens. But most important, absolute silence is expected of everyone on board, so you're guaranteed a peaceful trip.
