74 Westbourne Grove, W2
For the health-conscious West London audience it attracts, this restaurant is a dream come true. Here, food that's free of refined flour, sugars, dairy, and other common no-nos is presented in a beautiful, tastefully decorated space full of plants and unusual ceramics. In other words, it's health food minus the hippie digs. Plus, everything from the millet bean burger to the take on Caesar salad is just as good as the "real" thing.
21 Edgware Rd., W2
This is the first outpost of the Maroush chain and it's located on Edgware Road, a Middle Eastern enclave in London. Hit the upstairs for a casual, quick bite or downstairs for a longer stay. It's family-friendly, always welcoming, and the menu is vast and very good. The counters stuffed with row after row of traditional Lebanese treats are hard to resist. There are close to 20 locations throughout London, so check their site for one near you.
