Color — Black
Cecilie Bahnsen puts her spin on the traditionally masculine jean jacket with gathered hip inserts, ruffled trim, and delicate ties. It’s done in structured Japanese denim that’s dyed to a deep black. Wear it buttoned to put the focus on that bell-like silhouette.
Before launching her eponymous label in 2015, Cecilie Bahnsen cut her teeth working for Danish designer Anja Vang Krag, John Galliano, and Erdem. Today, she distills these experiences into her own designs, which feature voluminous silhouettes and romantic ruching. With femininity as her north star, Bahnsen develops bespoke fabrics for every collection, often rendering her whimsical pieces in matelassé or jacquard—the likes of which are meant to be worn in, out, and all around.
