What Goes with a Nap Dress?
She invented the Nap Dress, and that’s enough for us—the dreamy yet chic, faintly Victorian yet somehow supremely modern sundress is so comfortable, you can sleep in it. But Nell Diamond, a Princeton- and Yale-educated powerhouse, built her digital-first lifestyle brand, Hill House Home, into a home, baby, kids, bridal, and fashion force while raising her three children (she says the Nap Dress is her fourth). We gave her the goop questionnaire and asked her for the goop favorites she loves—put them in your cart or on your goop Wish List (see below). (Spoiler alert: She loves a great lip color, a cat eye, long hair, cozy takeout, and, of course, dresses.)
The goop Questionnaire
Foolproof outfit?
My favorite thing in my closet has been the Hill House Home Ophelia Dress. We call her the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants dress because she fits so many body types. The neck is fully adjustable, so there is plenty of room, and it can be fitted to preference. I love wearing Ophelia with colorful platform shoes and a bright coat.
The Daphne Dress is one of our new styles from our Nap Dress Summer collection. We’ve taken the elements that have made the Ellie Nap Dress so successful—the flutter sleeve, midi length, and elastic smocking—and elevated it into a more dressed-up version.
The Isabella Top and Mirabel Skirt is one of my favorite new duos, available in two bright and summery prints inspired by the Amalfi Coast—Pink Roses and Sea Creatures. The Isabella Top includes a chic puff sleeve and has an adjustable tie in the front and pairs perfectly with our wrap skirt, the Mirabel Skirt.
Drink of choice?
Champagne in a pretty glass. Preferably a coupe or something colorful!
Proudest moment?
Giving birth to my twin babies, Sebastian and Willow. I found out I was pregnant with twins about a week before New York shut down in 2020. It was a very dramatic, high-risk pregnancy. I can’t believe all three of us made it out alive!
Perfect accessory?
I’m obsessed with this color combination—and the delicate size of these earrings.
First job?
For my first job post-college, I worked on a trading desk at a bank. Not a Nap Dress in sight. Dark times. My first job in high school was at an Abercrombie & Fitch in London, where I grew up.

Best way to wind down?
My beauty sleep is very important to me, and these are the perfect bedtime treat.
