Red Carpet Hair tips from David Babaii
I have had the great pleasure of working with Gwyneth for the past nine years. She has been not only a client but the most approachable, kind, supportive and fun loving person I know. Whenever I do a red carpet look, I take into consideration what the client is wearing and how they envision themselves. It is really a collaboration of the two of us in order to come up with the right look.
With Gwyneth at this year’s Emmy’s, the dress she chose was so spectacular and really showed off her fabulous figure so we opted for a shiny “Edgy Straight” look that grabbed everyone’s attention. To achieve the look, I always start with a small amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil massaged into the hair, which you can buy at Couture Colour. It is the one and only product I use on all my clients because it not only provides a mirror like shine but absorbs instantly into the hair without weighing it down, while protecting your style against humidity and dryness.
Next, I blow dried her hair with a round brush to create a sort of 2nd day blow dry look. After hair was dried, I ran additional Pequi Oil through her tresses to lift and define.
