few years ago. I love these Eberjey ones—they’re super soft, with the subtlest bit of stretch. And the Gisele style comes in a few different colors, in every combination: short- and long-sleeve, shorts, pants. You can find me in these maybe thirty seconds after I get home from work.

Later, when I’m getting ready for bed, I start with the beauty routine: After working on our first book, GOOP CLEAN BEAUTY, with our beauty director, Jean, I turned into a full-on clean beauty freak.

I like a twenty-minute bath, especially if I’m traveling. I still think taking a bath in a hotel bath is very adult and fun. I bring G.Tox Bath Soak with me on work trips to NYC because I find the charcoal-and-essential-oil combo really refreshing. But I also love the occasional bath at home, too.

Once I’m out of the bath and back in my pj’s, I wash my face with charcoal soap. Then—very unoriginal for a goop staffer—I break out some face oil. I like the rose hip one we carry from Pai. I use it in the morning, too—it’s a goldish-orange color and I feel like it doubles as an instant tanner. At night, I also swipe the balm from The Beauty Chef under my eyes and on my lips. It makes my skin soft by morning.

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m a bit obsessed with flossing. Part of this is because I have way too many dental sagas to get into, but also I love the feeling of flossed teeth. I could wax poetic about Cocofloss in particular—it’s thick, glides easily, doesn’t break, has a refreshing spearmint scent with a little bit of coconut…but I’d sound like a dental-hygiene nerd, so just try it. No one I know who has used it has gone back to regular floss.

After I brush my teeth, I get into bed. My husband will tell you that I spend too much time there on my laptop (I’m writing this from under the covers at 9 p.m.). But my favorite thing to do before falling asleep is read a book. I just finished There There, Tommy Orange’s debut novel. It’s set in Oakland and told through twelve characters who identify as Native American in varying ways. Their voices are powerful, sometimes beautiful, sometimes unnerving. I won’t be able to get them out of my head for a while, but I’m into another new book, this time nonfiction—Alissa Quart’s Squeezed, which is about being middle class in America today. I’ve been told I have terrible taste in light bedtime reading, but I can’t help it.
