The B Mat has earned its cult status. It has just the right amount of cushion—six millimeters—to feel good under your hands and feet without sacrificing stability. The textured surface has serious grip, so you’ll feel secure in downward-facing dog and won’t slip out of dolphin pose. (The grip holds up in the hottest of hot yoga classes, which is clutch on days you forget your mat towel at home.) It’s lightweight and easy to care for, too—just spray it down with water and a mild detergent and wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
B Yoga founder Andrea Morris was working with an especially grippy, durable rubber—her family was in the manufacturing business—when she realized it would make a perfect yoga mat. That rubber became the core material of Morris’s first yoga product, the B Mat, which quickly rose to cult status among devoted yogis. Since then, B Yoga has become a hub for high-performance yoga and fitness essentials, from mats to blocks to cushy meditation pillow sets.
