Copenhagen-based ceramicist, Anne Black, is known for her handmade ceramics. Working hands-on with the clay (a trick she picked up studying ancient Chinese porcelain in school), Black quite literally puts her personal touch on each hand-thrown cup, vase, bowl, and jug. Though intended for everyday use, the sleek, distinctly Scandinavian pieces double as objects d’art. More to love? Black has brought jobs, fair wages, and increased opportunity to the skilled craftswomen she works with in Vietnam.
