The Travel Stroller That Changes Everything
When it’s time to start registering for a new baby, it’s admittedly difficult to get excited about a stroller—it’s also confusing, particularly because most of the options out there today are souped up with bassinets and lots of extra features that you may or may not need. (See our non-toxic registry guide here for a few more tips.)
But if you’re a frequent flier, there’s a new stroller that’s finally made it to the States from Europe that might actually make your heart skip a beat. It’s called the BabyZen YoYo: It’s slick and lightweight—but way sturdier than a crappy umbrella stroller—and it somehow collapses down to a size that can be stashed in a bag and carried over your shoulder. This means that it fits in overhead bins, under tables at lunch, and can easily be schlepped if you’re heading through subway turnstiles and have a toddler who would rather walk.
BTW, if you live in an urban area, there’s no reason that this stroller couldn’t be the only one you own—if you hike, or deal with dirt roads and lots of weather, you might want an additional story that’s more robust.
